The All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) are having their 74th Annual Conference right here, in Kolkata. Which obviously meant coming back home, only as a tourist this time.

I haven’t been back here in South Kolkata in a while, so mum and I checked out all the places I loved as a kid. And, since some of y’all haven’t been here, I’m gonna share some pictures! Here you go.

The Victoria Memorial.

Any sort of camera isn’t allowed inside the Victoria Memorial, but the history inside is so rich it’s almost palpable. It’s beautiful, and Victoria is beautiful. One of the prettiest pairs of eyes I’ve ever seen.

Next, we have the Mother’s Wax Museum. Look at how lifelike Mother Teresa looks!

The National Museum.

The National Museum had the Indian Buddhist Art Festival going on and – hey, did y’all know that every dynasty had a different representation of the Buddha? Whoa.

Should you find yourselves in India, make it a point to stop by and check out all the places I’ve mentioned.

Oh, and last but not the least…

How quaint is this?

the Eco Park, right opposite to the Mother’s Wax Museum, is LITERALLY like a breath of fresh air, y’all!!
